We are thrilled that you will be coming to share our special day in Winchester. We hope some of you will make a weekend of it and see all Winchester has to offer.The location at Avington Park is idyllic and we are sure everyone will enjoy themselves.

Itinerary

15:30 Guests start to arrive, wander round the grounds and enjoy the music from the string quartet. Get your picture taken!
16:00 Guests start to take their seats in the Ballroom.
16:30 Civil Ceremony.
17:00 Pimms and Pictures :-)
18:00 Dinner is served.
20:30 Coffee, leg stretch in the garden, and watch the sunset.
21:00 Dancing and partying
24:00 Carriages

 

Dress Code

Guests to wear evening dress (black tie/long or short dress). Men who do not wish to wear black tie may opt for any stylish alternative. A shawl or wrap is useful if the evening is cool.

Confetti

No confetti please, but feel free to bring rose petals - we'll organise some as well :-)

Gifts

We aren't expecting gifts and already have two toasters! But we know some of you may like to be conventional and buy us something.. As most of you know we are building our new house at the moment and we did think it would be very nice to have a piece of sculpture as a lasting memory of our special day. We saw Ev Meynell's work at a Wisley exhibition and we really liked 'Two For Joy' which we think will look great in our courtyard. So if you are minded to, we would love a contribution towards one of his pieces. You can do this by giving the best man, Keith, a cheque payable to Ev Meynell.
